"Nature Vs Nurture" Chromakey Film

Image
"Nature Vs Nurture"              Artist Statement:       For this film, I created an experimental chroma key project titled “Nature vs Nurture.” The concept itself draws from the classic debate about whether our identities are shaped more by genetics and biology (nature) or by the environments and experiences we grow up in (nurture). While I didn’t go into this project with a solid narrative plan, the final piece still ended up reflecting that tension—between instinct and influence, internal and external.      This was a chromakey assignment , so I worked with green screen footage and layered it with archival clips, textures, and digitally manipulated imagery. I used Adobe Premiere to combine multiple visual sources, creating a dist...

"Loss Of Innocence" Stop Motion Film

"Loss Of Innocence"  Artist Statement:       For this project, I created a stop-motion short film titled “Loss of Innocence,” which runs 3 minutes and 55 seconds and was fully animated using Dragonframe. I used a stationary, tripod-mounted camera connected to the software to capture each frame with precision. The entire film takes place on top of an empty elementary school desk , chosen intentionally to represent the quiet, everyday setting where so many childhood memories begin—and eventually fade. I animated familiar childhood objects— cards, dice, a Rubik’s cube, and small toys —to tell a story about how innocence slowly slips away as we grow up. What starts as playful movement turns into chaos, as the toys are pushed, torn, and ultimately destroye...

"A Simple Life" Amnesia Film

Image
"A Simple Life" Artist Statement:       For this project, I created an experimental short film called “A Simple Life,” using Adobe Premiere. It’s a visual and audio-based film that explores something many of us forget about in our everyday routines: the beauty of the simple things around us. The whole idea behind this piece came from the feeling that we often rush through life without stopping to notice the world we’re living in—like the way the wind blows, how the grass grows, or how the sunlight hits a tree. The film uses natural footage I shot—trees, flowers, leaves, roots, branches—layered and blended together to create dreamy textures and soft visuals. I played with opacity, blending modes, and slow motion to make everything feel kind of faded, like a memory that’s starting to blur. This connects to the theme of amnesia —not the literal kind, but the way we forget how lucky we are to experience the small details of life. The audio design plays a huge r...
