Business Cards

Artist Statement:

    Today, I have wrapped up my InDesign assignments and projects, and another big project was assigned to my class. The objective was to create three simple business cards using our three different color logos, created using Adobe Photoshop in one of our past assignments. Before we began working on anything, the most crucial part was ensuring all the dimensions and settings were set up correctly so we could work on it independently. So, we prepared to work on it in class on our computers. Once that was done, I used the rectangle, line, and pen tools to create zig zags, shapes, and cool designs for the postcard's background. Matching the logo's colors, each business card has its own cool, unique colors and designs to fit the whole aesthetic. Once all three were made, I used the text tool and put my name, “profession,” number, email, and website on the back of all three business cards. After that, all I would have to do was package the files.
      Although this project doesn’t have any deep meaning for why I chose specific designs to put on the business cards or certain “professions” to put onto these cards, the colors of, of course, we were inspired by the different colors on the three logo colorways. This project was fun and made me think hard about what to put on the card to make it look the best without adding too much. Overall, it is a great way to close out this class and the projects we have been working on since January at the beginning of the semester!
