Although it is my last official project on in design, it acts as a final wrap-up to the overall class, looking over the work I’ve done during the semester. As well as helping everyone for their future who would like to use this project as a future portfolio to send to jobs. The strict restrictions on what’s allowed and what’s not for the portfolio help to create a professional-looking portfolio that is good enough for jobs to see during or before an interview. We first sketched what our portfolio should look like, adding enough pages for all our projects and extra pages for any o

Business Cards

Business Cards                             Beginning sketches: Artist Statement:      Today, I have wrapped up my InDesign assignments and projects, and another big project was assigned to my class. The objective was to create three simple business cards using our three different color logos, created using Adobe Photoshop in one of our past assignments. Before we began working on anything, the most crucial part was ensuring all the dimensions and settings were set up correctly so we could work on it independently. So, we prepared to work on it in class on our computers. Once that was done, I used the rectangle, line, and pen tools to create zig zags, shapes, and cool designs for the postcard's background. Matching the logo's colors, each business card has its own cool, unique colors and designs to fit the whole aesthetic. Once all three were made, I used the text tool and put my name, “profession,” number, email, and website on the back of al

Postcard

The assignment itself was simple. The assignment we had to do was to create a postcard for a city that will be directly in the path of the solar eclipse. First, I had to pick a town. I chose Buffalo, New York, mainly because New York is my home state, so it makes sense to choose that as my postcard. First, we were told to find a JPEG image or create an image in Adobe Photoshop for the postcard's background. I made a cool-looking background using Photoshop. I found stock-free photos for download and used images that translated to the eclipse and pictures of the city of Buffalo. Once the design was created, I went into design to start the actual postcard.       When I first went into InDesign, I followed the direction

Id HW #1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eqhUFRlvgI After watching my first indesign beginner video to help me understand indesign as a whole, I saw many of the same tools in all three programs, just like the other two Adobe programs we use just like the other two Adobe programs we use. However, in this one, which is entirely different is the number of tools; in the video on the left-hand side, the tools range from fewer than the other two, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. As for the video, I found it interesting how the instructor/creator included the keyboard on the bottom right so he could show the beginners, just like me, what key shortcuts I can use to get around faster in InDesign. But what makes it different is that we can see what keys he's pressing, so if you need to remember what he says or get left behind, you can see which keys he presses on the bottom left. Now, we will talk about the tools and functions that seem easy or hard to use from the start of learning this new p

Animation Project

Although it may not seem like a complicated animation, it did take a couple of hours to master how it works and how to produce it, even at the lowest stage, to create a simple GIF. We first started this two weeks ago, where we had to draw a storyboard for the movements and motions that our GIF would make. I didn't have any inspiration for my eye animation or why I created a story where the eye gets sad after losing its eyebrow. But I also wanted to showcase the movement of the eye and the pupil to show that I had learned enough skills to make a nice gif. Yes, it could be smoother, and I have much to learn, but for my first ever, I enjoyed the process. After c

Animating in Photoshop Tutorials  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IO1yDUJl8qw Watching this quick tutorial for a simple idea or starting animating in Photoshop as a beginner. The video wasn't too hard to follow at all. Unlike any other tools we use to create art designs in Illustrator or Photoshop, looking out in a simple frame-by-frame animation for a beginner such as myself, I don't see any tools that may be hard to use in this video. I've found this more manageable than the introduction to Illustrator and Photoshop. I found it interesting that a short video like this goes straight to the point and doesn't cut any edges out of showing how to make a simple animation like this. Learning how to create a new group and, in each one of the layers, space it out to as many frames per second as you want the animation to run is easy enough toe to create this moving image or an animated GIF when creating a s

Before I started anything in the actual application itself, I first started with the image I was gonna use. I got the inspiration to use an image from the movie The Wolf Of Wall Street because that movie is one of the movies that first got me into film, so it was special to me to use an image from the movie, mainly because it's one of my favorites of all time. To really blend in, I took a picture of myself sitting down with a suit on, and then I turned to look at Jordan Belfort (the character in the film) just as almost every
